How Does My Solar Finance Billing Work?
Learn what to expect for your solar billing
Understanding Your Solar Billing
Your billing process for your solar system can vary depending on the finance provider you've chosen.
Here’s how it generally works:
Billing Start Date
Cash Payment Option
- $1,000 Deposit: Better Earth requires a $1,000 deposit upon signing up for solar installation.
- 90% of Total Balance Due at Installation: Once your solar installation is complete, you will receive an invoice for 90% of the remaining project balance.
- Final 10% Balance Due After Inspection Approval: The remaining 10% is due after your system has been inspected and approved by the local building department.
Finance & Non-Ownership Option
Billing for your solar project may start after the installation or when your system is activated depending on the finance provider. On average, you can expect billing to begin 60 to 90 days from the installation date. However, please note that this timeline may vary depending on the finance provider you have chosen.
Can I Pause Billing?
In most cases, you won't have the option to pause your solar billing. However, if you have questions or need to explore your options further, we recommend contacting your finance provider directly. They will be able to provide you with more information about your billing arrangements.
At Better Earth, we're here to assist you every step of the way. If you have any billing-related questions or concerns, feel free to get in touch with us, and we'll do our best to help.
